1-12" twist is just fine for a 190 grain round nose bullet, even at 303 Savage velocities.
Plenty of 12" twist 308 Winchesters out there, and they stabilize the 200 Semi-Spitzer.
However, from some literature I have read, there apparently were a small number of very early
303 Savage rifles that sport a larger bore.groove diameter. [303/312]
I would slug the barrel of any early built 303 Savage, just to be sure I was using the matching
diameter projectile. Obviously, the odds of seeing the larger bore/groove is remote. Dave.
