.308 Bullet Weights?

Checked out CT up the hill for the 165 Federals and all I can say is till I am reloading my own bullets I'm only shooting Federal 150 as there is no way I'm gonna pay $15 more for a box of 20 bullets in 165 grain. Not unless I can find a deal that they only cost a few $$ more a box if I buy in bulk. But I'll only be hunting Deer this year so I don't have a problem at this time.

Federal doesn't make 165gr in the blue box (cheap) stuff, only 150 & 180gr. The only 165gr they make is the red box (premium) stuff with higher end bullets, like the Accubond, TSX, and the Gameking. Hence the price difference.

But fear not, for deer sized game, the cheapies will work for you, just put the bullet where it should be... ;) Don't worry about the rate of twist.

I didn't know I had to worry about Rate of Twist I don't know what it is on my M88 so how would I worry. I'm just working on being able to hit within 1"-3" of the same spot with my 3 bullets I shoot at each target.

Thanks about clearing up my understanding of the 165fgr federals I was wondering why the box was red and almost twice as much as the 150s and why the 150 and 180 were blue and now I know. I didn't ask the people at CT as they are (to put it nicely) morons that probably don't know which end the bullet leaves the gun with out an instruction manual describing everything.
