Went out and shot 1 five round group at 500 yards today. I am pretty happy with the results!

Thanks guys, it has been a learning experience. I hope to soon have a McRees Precision Chassis. and an after market trigger set to 6-8 oz to match my CZ 452 Scoute

168gr amax 15 thousands off the lands
43.5gr Varget Powder
Remington once fired brass, full length sized
Fed gold metal match primers

Awesome.

I think I'm going to start with 168gr as well. That provides a lot of good info for me to use!
(new to reloading.. and precision shooting for that matter)

well the varmint rem musta improved since i last bought one... got mine bout 10 years back and my 7600 would group better... got rid of that pos barrel and put a shillen S Match on it and never looked back

nice shooting

Hope it helps Shibby

Im afraid it might change when I get my new stock, Being that it is NOT free floated right now. Do you guys think floating it will effect the accuracy? Silly question i know. but seriously, this rifle has shot better then i thought it could already...

looks to be some kind of composite material...so it may not change with temp/humidity ( i'm thinkin it would be less bad than wood )
-i'd change the stock, it's already a nice shooter !!! may aswell make it comfortable

It sucks to shoot, I shoot mostly prone, and it seems as if i catch the top inch of the stock and it hurts to shoot...

Typical factory rifle crap. Stock has too much drop for proper prone supported. I have the same problem with my Howa 1500 and its hogue stock. If I mount the pad to my shoulder properly, recoil is almost unnoticeable with .308. But then I have to bend my neck all to hell to get a proper sight picture thru my scope which destroys my focus as I fight the rifle. To get comfortable I'd have to mount the top of the recoil pad across my clavicle and get my ass kicked by the rifle until I develop a flinch. Its just a sporting stock with a fatter forend. I geuss theyre trying to cover as many bases as possible when designing these things.
