my current ELR setup uses some leftover FTR parts and a very old Savage LA in a Choate varmint stock. 30" prefit Shilen Select Match BULL contour, threaded for a big brake. Shooting the 200gr Sierra MKs around 2600fps. Was running Varget but now Viht N150.
Worked great at 1000yds in competition and hammers to 2000yds on rocks and gongs. Starts to get tired by 2300yds but has reached 2600yds.
Single feeding currently but shouldn't be an issue feeding from single stack AICS type 30-06 mags.
Not sure I would bother with a larger diameter bullet as the case volume is going to struggle with more bullet mass.
But have at it... tons of fun
Jerry
PS, I have yet to see a lathe turned bullet shoot as well/consistently as a quality conventional cup/core match bullet.... certainly has been tried and didn't survive F class competition pressures.
