My father in law has a 308 norma magnum that I had neck sized cases for. I don't have a 308 NM FL die. Only a custom lee neck size die.
He had a muzzle brake installed, and the gunsmith didnt return headspace to exact spec, but to "within specs".
My previously collet neck sized cases are way too hard to close the bolt on. They will close, but it's hard. Hard to close and open.
I guess that I would just need to bump the shoulder 1-2 thou.
Would it be safe to use a 300 win FL die to bump, or you wouldnt do it?
There is nowhere where you can get a reasonably priced FL die for 308 norma.
Other option would be to just trash those 20 cases and start over with new factory rounds, but at 90$ a box, that's a bit sad.
What would you do?
