308 norma magnum, headspace 1-2 mil too long, bump with 300 win die?

Found a herters die for 45$ shipped.

Are those dies any good? Are they going to work fine? Or I should just try to find an rcbs set?

Will work fine as long as the die barrel is the standard 7/8-14 used now, some of the very old stuff from Herters used a 1 inch thread

Bump the shoulder with a Redding 7RM body die... just open the top so the 30cal case goes in. Or 338 WM and use as is... may leave a small ridge at the base of the neck???

You can COW fireform to form all the 308 NM brass you want from 7RM brass... or neck down 338 WM. Cases will be short but...

Or form from 300WM by pushing the shoulder back and trimming.

IF you want Norma 308 NM brass, just let me know... not cheap but possible for Aug.
