308 police loads

175 gr SMK's
42.3gr IMR 4064
BR primers
Win Brass
2700ish fps
26" Pac-Nor bbl six groove, 1:10 twist

155 gr Sierra's (?)
42.3 gr of 4064
WLR (?) primers
Win brass
didn't get a chance to chrony this load yet.

both loads shoot bugholes at 1-300 yds. I can put them on an 8X10 sheet of paper at 800yds.

I'm not at home to double check the loads but if there is a big discrepancy ( 0.2gr ) in what I put here I'll change it.

A standard load that seems to work in most .308s is a healthy dose of Varget behind a 175 SMK. Seat at 2.800 to start and see what it does for you. I've had it work really well in a couple of different rifles w/ very different chambers.

I just had to get in on this one :)

I am shooting 168gr Sierra Matchking HPBT
H-335 Powder
WLR primers
Win Brass

At 100 yards I can hit .710 @ 100 meters with a factory rem 700 sps in .308

In my Remmy 700P I use 46.8 grains of Win. 748, Win. WLR primers, Win. cases and a 168g. moly coated Sierra Matchking HPBT. C.O.A.L is 2.820''. It shoots 1/2'' groups @ 100y. consistantly but is capable of better when I'm on my game:
