Update on the OLD REM 700.
I just got an email from a fellow Gun Nutter and he informed me that the rifle I purchased is not from 1973 but from Dec. 1965. It is one of 4021 .270's built that year.
The 700 came into production in 1962.
How fitting to aquire such a find. I was born in March 66. Dennis Sorensen (aka Guntech) will be the man who gets to turn this Vintage piece into a 338-06. What is ironic is that Dennis enrolled in the Gunsmithing school at Trinidad Co about the same time. Dennis has been fixing and rebarreling the same length of time this rifle has been on this planet as myself.
