YA, I never thought of it before, but there IS only 200gr Hornadys in 35cal. to choose from. I REALLY can't wait for another company to invent 35cal bullets. I bet Speer would make a dandy 250gr some day. A TSX would be a good invention as well.alot better bullet options for hunting in the 160 to 210gr in 338" than 358", thats the biggest difference I see
35 cal leaves you with 200gr interlocks, wooo hooo!the animals will make fun of you

The motherload!i think Speer makes 180 and 220gr flat points if you're a real crazy 358 handloader.......![]()

Thanks Archie.
Im glad you mentioned that.
Im a big 358 fan and load for a bud's 338F. Its an interesting round for someone who is tired of peanut butter and yams, as my neice would say.
Let us know how it works when you slap an elk or moose with it.
I've shot a moose and a couple of Bear with this round. The moose at 150 and both bear where inside of 50. I used the Accubond 180s and the hole in the off side of the moose was around 3" in diameter and the best thing was no trail to follow because the animals did not move.

Hmmmm ............. some day, maybe.
.
That right there is the beauty of the .338F....30-06 velocities in a short action rifle. Less bulky ammo to carry, ect...
i read or heard somewhere that the recoil of the 338F wasa very similar to the .308 Is this correct?
ahahhahaha![]()

The 338 Federal is a step back from the 358 Win.
