Don't be confused with 338WMin Mag we are talking about 338 Federal which is a completely differant cartridge developed by Federal and Sako! This cratridge is carried by all Canadian tire stores
Still confused....CT is carrying 338 fed? Which loads? What kind of $?

They carry .338 win mag in the Federal brand, like I said before.
You can buy 338 federal ammo at Canadian Tire
Should actually be .338 WM in the Federal brand, not .338 Federal rounds.

I see two or three of them in the EE these days. Not so many 358Wins.
.

The 338 Fed and the 160 gr Tipped TSX are a wicked combo, IMHO.
^^^You mean the 180's?
new for 2010 we'll see a 185gr TTSX, the ultimate 338F bullet IMO
Ive shot 160gr TTSX in my Sako 338f I had, 2970 fps and most groups ran in the .6" for 3 shots. Deadly I am sure, but a bit more weight doesn't hurt, when you're after elk and moose. 210gr TSX are great too, but I don't think the 185 will give up much in the way of penetration to the 210, and will fly a little flatter which is nice.
185gr @ 2750fps will get a guy to 350 yards no problem (15" drop from 200y zero, 2050 fps, 1700 ft lbs energy)
for comparison, a 200gr tsx @ 2600 fps out of a 358 Win will drop 20", hit with 1650 fps, 1200 ft lbs energy - at 350 yards
