.338 Federal

The 7Mag was very popular from day 1 and remained there for many years.

The 338Ded is not nearly.

what? If it wasn't for the Wsssssm fad, the Fed would sell better....but even now, it's still selling in more guns than the 7mag :)

Well see I guess, but so far things are looking really good for the cartridge....and once people get past the wssssm craze, I think you'll see even more buying the .338.
 
It seems that if you want the fed off the shelf you have to with Ruger or Sako/tikka (correct me on that one) . Nothing against those makes but I think that alone hampers any chances of getting decent sales. I doubt that its outselling the 7RM.

300 yards -5.4 drop, 7.2 drift at 10 mph, 2204 fps, 1995 fpe, 58.25 momentum
Recoil in 8 lb rifle 20.17

Pretty good numbers for the 338 Fed.
