338 Federal?

Anyone still producing rifles in this caliber? There was a number of them a few years ago, but not so much anymore--unless I'm missing them.

I just read an article in 'Canadian Firearms Journal' about the DPMS Panther Arms LR-338L. An 'AR' type rifle built as a big game rifle .... I was rather intrigued and went looking ..... seems Wolverine carries DPMS, but not this specific rifle .... maybe they'd order it in. I better go check the piggy bank:rolleyes:

Being built on an AR platform, it's probably not a big seller in Canada unless you can find a restricted range that has wildlife and allows hunting. Kinda like buying a restricted Benelli M4 for bird hunting.

I'm sitting in my bear stand with my Sako 85 grey wolf .338F as we speak . 200 grain Hornady SP over 47 grains of 8208XBR should work.
Yes very cool - hope ya got your ringer and chimes on mute. Last hour of light - it's time to be quiet - very quiet - hahahaha.

On your phone while you're hunting? Ugh, the spirit of the sport is dying... Of course you're baiting and sitting in a tree, so it's not like you're really hunting... ;)
