Brass is about $2 for each, single piece. A box of 100 will run you $200, at least the last time I bought Lapua brass that's what it was worth. Loaded ammo from Lapua was $160 for 20 rounds when I could find it (Italian Sporting Goods in Vancouver, again, remember this was at least 10-12 years ago), last loaded Lapua ammo in this caliber I saw was $120. This is not a cheap cartridge to shoot. Not as bad as 50 BMG, but way more money then regular rounds. 300 gr bullets aren't cheap either. I'm not trying to discourage you, but I want you to go in with your eyes wide open, so to speak. I enjoy shooting it, but if money is an issue, go 308 or 223. If you fancy 1000 meter shooting, one of the more efficient 6mm's or 6.5 mm's will do the same job. - dan
