35 caliber

What's a 350 WSM? In what kind of rifle? Never heard of it before. Must it be handloaded? Closer to a 35 Whelen or a 358 Norma Mag? About the same case capacity as a 350 Rem Mag? Anything you know would be appreciated.

I'm a fan of the 35cal too. I have a 358win and a 350 Rem Mag, both stainless Rugers. Both have taken deer, but no moose yet. I am also playing around with reduced cast loads in them - lots of fun!

I've used several .35's over the years but my favorite for eastern hunting hands down is my custom Ruger Mini 30 I rechambered to .350x39ADP (my own wildcat) which give me .35 Rem ballistics in a sub 6 lbs. semi. - sweet!

35's eh.......YUP.
I have several a 760 pump - 35 Rem. & Marlin 336 - 35 Rem , 7600 - 35 Whelen and a Win 94 in 356 Win. I've killed one whitetail doe and many bucks with the 760 35 Rem. the farthest I've had to track one was about 50 yds. But most all of them fall over and die within 0-15 yds. I took the 7600 35 Whelen hunting this year instead and dropped a buck in his tracks.
I let my buddy borrow my 760 35 rem. this year and he downed 22 points on opening day with it, 2 - 6 pointers & 10 a point.....no tracking required. I haven't taken the Win 94 hunting yet....it's currently on the EE. I love 35's :).

Here's my favourite deer gun the 760 35 Rem. I had the sights removed & holes filled, reblued matte finish and put 2-7x32 Leupold VX-I on it.

I have and hunted with a 358 Norma for 35 Years,Mine is built on a 1903 A3 springfield. All i can say is it works very well and has put a lot of meat in the freezer.

I was there the day he sighted it in, and have been along when he decked a huge bull moose and big black wolf on the same trip 25 years later. :D

Have used several 35 Rem, 358 Win, 35 Whelen, 358 Norma, and had a full-length 35 Ackley Magnum for a while.

They are all good. A Husqvarna 358 Norma is what I still have in the safe and carry afield often.

I could if this site let me, My rating says I cannot post attachments. Any ideas?

I haven't heard of this before but could the following scenario apply?

"Posting pictures does not usually involve attaching the picture to your post. What happens is that your pictures have to be located on another system (not GN) and linked from your post to them.

People usually store their pictures on sites that offer these services and then link their posts to them.

It's a matter of storage limitation on the GN server".

If you have not followed the above scenario please read the procedure on how to post pictures on GN, and if you have, disregard my input.

Good luck!

The first picture is my Ruger Mini-35 in .350x39ADP that I
rebored/chambered and added an ultra light MPI stock, even with a scope it
is under 6 lbs. and shoots under 2" for 5 shots with 180gr. Hornadys or
Barnes 180 gr. X bullets @ 2200fps for 1900 me, The clip still holds 5
rds,so you have six on tap. In the background is my new Mini-14 in 6.8 SPC
Ackley Improved that I just finished rechambering. It's sending out a 85
gr Barnes TSX @ 3200fps also a nice utility gun that shots out to 200 yrds
clean.

Second picture is the parent 7.62x39 Russian, reformed .350x39ADP, 6.8 Rem
SPC, and reformed 6.8 Rem SPC Ackley Improved.

It is the new Ruger (in rear) in 6.8 which has the heavier barrel (OEM)
The .35 was rebored in the US, when we were all still friends,

Thanks for the help with the Pcs James

Very nice stuff you've got there, and impressive performance out of these little rifles!

My go-to rifles are 3 x 358w's. My favorite cal.. Anything in its ballistic vicinity will soon be gobbled up. Shot only mulies with them so far. They, of course, worked very well. One big damn mulie took a 250HC Speer at 200m from chest to ham.
A 358cal with 250gr at 2200fps is a legitimate 225m gun.
Good enough for my needs.

First rifle I officially purchased myself under my name was a Marlin 336C in .35 Remington late 2009. Haven't had an opportunity to shoot anything big-game-wise yet, but I'm planning on it this coming season.
