Belleville CT is an anomaly. Most CTs wouldn't carry 35 whelen ammo, though they might be willing to order it.
Nice find, you should be very happy with it. My 7600 .35 whelen is a staple in my safe for sure. I have not had a problem finding ammo at all. I do not reload either but I do know that .35 whelen can be made with 30.06 brass. I much prefer Hornady to the Remington ammunition. Hornady 200 gr ammo is about $32 a box. Mine packs a punch but it's very managable and is nice to shoot.
I much prefer the Federal Premium 225gr Trophy Bonded Bear Claws as far as Factory Ammo goes...![]()

Not sure if it would help with your search, but the correct spelling is Whelen not Whelan.

LOL! ...... Prolley bin done too.Needs 50mm objective, Knoxx stock and see-through rings.

Mine seldom leaves the house any more, since for every use I can think of I have a rifle I like better. There's better compromises too.
Maybe this doesn't have to make sense... but WTF is the bipod for on a .35Whelen pump!?![]()
