I'm suprised your search didn't turn up much.
I'ts the most powerful of the cartriges you list
It was a fairly popular wildcat for a few decades
It was a side project at the original Springfield Armoury
It's made by necking up 30-06 brass
You won't ever find ammo for it at Canadian Tire

Excellent elk and moose cartridge. The stouter 250 gr. bullets at 2400-2500 FPS will completely penetrate an elk and exit, from most angles. i really like that for early season hunts. Have taken about a dozen elk and moose with mine, and I do think it has a small advantage over the other cartridges you name.
The only widely available ammunition is the Remington stuff, it is OK but loaded quite mild. The Federal 225 gr. Trophy Bonded bullet is a very capable factory load. I mostly hand load 250 gr. Speer Grand Slams for my Whelens.

An equal to another excellent former wildcat, the .338-06.

A geologist buddy of mine carried a Remington pump in .35 Whelen and he killed a lot of mulies with it over the years.

I alwyas thought that a Remington pump carbine in either .35 Whelen or even better .338-06 would be a GREAT bush carbine.

Get a 9.3x62 since there cheaper to buy and harder hitting. Its equal to a 375HH. Shells are almost the same length of-06 but with a 9.3 bullet. You can get 230gr-300gr + bullets from Tradex.

I don't think so Tim...

Speer manual...
9.3x62 270 grain@2583 fps max listed 26" barrel
375HH 270 grain@2797 fps max listed 24" barrel

The 9.3x62 is more appropriately an equal to the 35 Whelen, or 350 Rem Mag

35 Whelen is a great big game cartridge, and IMO is best suited for "real" big game like elk, moose and larger bears. It can also be used very effectively with a bullet like the lightly constructed Hornday 200gr for lighter game like deer and black bear.

The 9.3x62 IS more powerful than the Whelen, but it IS NOT equal to the .375 H&H. Whether anyone needs the 9.3x62 over the Whelen, or the .375 H&H over the 9.3x62 is a whole other (possibly pointless) debate.

Yes, I do reload for all three.

Canadian Tire in Belleville Ontario has 35 Whelen ammo, saw it there yesterday.

It is an excellent choice for everything that Ontario can throw at you, whitetails, moose, bear and elk will all fall to the mighty Whelen. Hell I have even seen the odd coyote and ground hog that just were never the same after meeting with Mr. Whelen!

35 Whelen is a great big game round and certainly more powerful (in varying degrees) than any of those listed for comparison in the OP.

It's also VERY effective on groundhogs with 225 gr bullets :p

I can't believe someone on the internet was wrong

9.3x62 vs 35 Whelen is the new 270 vs 280.

I have a 9.3x62 so I'm biased. We did cover this ground a while back and I think that I sorted so much fly-poop from pepper to make my case that the Whelen guys conceded defeat. :D

I was looking for one in a 7600 Rem, but ended up finding a used pristine Rem 700 in 35 Whelen. I seriously doubt that a game animal hit in the boiler room with either a 35 Whelen or 9.3 would live long enough to appreciate the difference.
