Anyone have one empty they wish to sell. I'm thinking of re-chambering a rifle and need one for a guide. Thanks
If you handload, you'll find that the H&R in 357 has a very long throat. You can seat the bullets way out and exceed published shorter OAL loads. For sure I won't re-chamber before I find enough brass to play
Bilky, it's a H&R Handi Rifle. If I choose to hunt with it I'm just trying to get a little bit more out of it.

Here's what I know from owning one of these guns and having it rechambered to 357 Max.
The 357 Max brass will not chamber - close, but not good enough.
so it was rechambered for the 357Max, but the gunsmith didn't do it right?
I don't get it....
I don't get what you're trying to express......
Can only a gunsmith rechamber a gun?
Can only a mechanic change the oil on a car?
Can only a carpenter hammer a nail?
I have now performed four unauthorized rechamberings in my basement.
but you said the 357Max brass won't chamber after the chamber had be lengthened to the 357Max....
hence my question... What did you mean by the phrase: "The 357 Max brass will not chamber - close, but not good enough."
that is why I asked what you meant
