.357 s&w 686+

Why will 7 shot be a problem for shooting games?

to the OP, I own one (wife bought it for my christmas gift) but haven't shot it yet..... so can't comment on much except she's a beauty to hold!

I have the 586 (6-shots) blued.
Shot both .38 spls and .357 mags.
Accurate out of the box; haven't had a screwdriver touch her sights.
I "might" change the rebound spring to a Wolf 13.
I would not dare personally, try polishing the sear.
I'd leave that to a good friend who knows what he's doing and who has offered.

Bought one last month. My first wheel gun. And is my best purchase yet! Love how accurate it is. I'm not overly good with handguns but my 7" 686+ shoots like a dream. I foresee many revolvers in my future.

I've shot the 686 at Target Sports, awesome gun. I've ordered the 586 blued version

I prefer the blued version. Stainless are good too.

Great for looks.
Now imagine this with a Hogue rubber grip with a Big Wooden Butt.
(Search on Hogue for big butt grips.) Great handling.

I love mine. It's the first out of the case on the range for dropping steel plates. It cleans up nicely as well. I really like the 6" version as it balances perfectly.

I have the 4.2" 686. I find it is the best balanced for me... x2 on the 6 shot version... Finding speedloaders for the 7 is a pain, and you never know when you'll want to shoot IPSC/PPC/IDPA...

You'll probably want to get into reloading... .357 is a little pricey!

hi there, I've owned several 686's, the 6 shot and even a 7 shot (Deluxe model) with the wooden grip, in both 4" and 6". currently, I'm using a model 627 Performance Centre, and while I really liked the 686's I owned, I LOVE the 627.
Ellwood Epps currently has some in stock, check out their website.

...while I really liked the 686's I owned, I LOVE the 627.

That's my next handgun in all probability. Maybe in a few months...I need spend some time enjoying the ones I have for a bit!

Weird...this double-posted. Most likely user-error...if a mod could delete that would be great.
