Ouch!Checked the model 1651 Husqvarna and model 68DL Schultz & Larsen I have, and while the wood quality isn't nicely figured and only has nice but not bright bluing. Both are decent in quality and on even quality terms compared to many other manufacturers. Couldn't find any evidence of being produced in European sweat shops. And, like some supposed 'American' products, they weren't actually made by J.A. Pan and Co.

If you re-read the post, you'll see that I was being very, very tongue in cheek. I'd take a European gun over a Yank one 9 times out of 10, and the 358 will drop any critter that's walked the Earth in the last. 65 million years or so.

we had our Antelope hunt as well. It appears that my Granddaughters will be getting into the game and I look forward to getting the opportunity for a hunt with them. Kind of a three generation hunting party.
I 'need' two of that calibre like a hole in the head. Still, I enjoy taking the 'occupants' of my gun safe out every once in a while, even if it's only for a bit of paper punching at the range. HOPING to get out for Moose with my son in central BC and if that comes to be, 'a' 358NM will get the call
