375 platforms ?

Hey Supercub, Remington does make a stainless 700 in 375 with iron sights that I never saw on their website listing. Did not have the XCR on the floor plate like those listed but has the crappy SPS stock on it. I recall seeing one on the rack at MilArm this time last year.

The 375 H&H proves to be immensely popular and will remain so long after we are gone.
The 375 Ruger cartridge is an excellent choice and I like it but to even think the H&H round is obsolete is just plain silly simply because of a belt.
Performance differences between the two is like splitting hairs.

Hey, Kevan, how about your Mossberg in 375 Ruger?

I think it was you who posted that you had one.

But would this work for you?

I'm more of a stainless and composite kind of guy but I have to admit, that wood and blue is absolutely gorgeous. I don't think I'd have the balls to take in the woods on a rainy day though...

I've got the same rifle but in the 416 Rigby. In RSA I got rained on harder than anywhere else (and I used to have a paper route in North Vancouver when I was a kid). Rifle was none the worse for wear. Hell, I even threw a sling on it and packed it while snowmobiling looking for moose.

I feel sad for all the beautiful rifles that only get out of the safe to be looked at, maybe a range trip now and then. Cryin shame, the poor things are meant to kill critters and explore country.

I sure do like the way my .375 Blaser R8 functions but I've never seen a rifle eject an empty case as beautifully as my Remington 700. It throws the empty case straight sideways out the port in such perfect fashion.

I hunted with the Ruger Hawkeye Alaskan and have used a lot of other bolt rifles over the decades but I always come back to the 700. I trust them to no end and have always enjoyed carrying and shooting them. IMO, the bad opinions are entirely unfounded and I stand with C-FBMI in backing the rifle for use in any situation.
