Yes, the Rigby went to Africa once. The others I bought because I couldn't pass up a deal. They remain unfired.![]()

Yeah SC.........I know, but at least I'm the first to admit that my hatred for the 270 or any 277 bore rifle for that matter, is totally irrational and unsupportable..........
The ergonomics are nothing like your Bavarian, and squeezing one off would show you why.
All this talk of Weatherby's. Darn it c-fbmi!![]()
Love at first sight! Look at the stock on this thing! Epps has a used one in 416 WBY in excellent condition for 5 grand (new 7 grand US).

For the uninitiated, could you elaborate?
Just a fit thing for me and most who I know who have used Weatherby rifles.. the standard Weatherby stock ergonimics exagerate recoil... the stock hits you at odd angles.
Wouldn’t be cought with a wby anything...
I'm curious about this mentality............another apparent stigma, but why?
Similar to the guided hunt stigma. Can't afford it? Bash it!
I have always found weatherby's fit me well and never found the stock design added recoil , but everyone has there preferences .
Have you had a weatherby that you found was not a shooter or sub par quality ? I haven't had one recently , has the quality gone down ?
