Na, I'm not interested in recovery.........see 'cause then I'd have to channel that hatred elsewhere, and that might end up being of consequence. At least this way I can vent these unhealthy feelings and know that they harm no one and make absolutely no difference to anyone. It's my own little 27 caliber black hole that allows me to view all other calibers with hope and optimism, regardless how mundane and pedestrian they may be. If I feel hatred welling up, I just think about 270 Winchesters and allow these feelings to drain down this misbegotten worthless sized hole and all is well in the world of calibers again.........;);)

Just a fit thing for me and most who I know who have used Weatherby rifles.. the standard Weatherby stock ergonimics exagerate recoil... the stock hits you at odd angles.

Thanks! I've been looking at Weatherby rifles and thought the design looked a bit off.

I have always found weatherby's fit me well and never found the stock design added recoil , but everyone has there preferences .

Have you had a weatherby that you found was not a shooter or sub par quality ? I haven't had one recently , has the quality gone down ?
I do wish weatherby would offer the 340wby in the vanguard series

Fit is personal, but quite a few of the shooters I know agree that the standard Weatherby ergonomics are uncomfortable to shoot... for me, the feel is just "off."

Nope... they have all been good shooters.

Interesting. While I don't care for the appearance of the weatherby stock, I have found the exact opposite when it comes to recoil.

WBY guns have never appealed to me so I never bought one, but I've shot plenty of them.

I can certainly afford a WBY rifle, but never wanted one. Before even picking one up, I'm not keen on their appearance. Then I find that I'm not a fan of the fit of the stocks to me. Even diminutive WBY cartridges like the .240 WBY in a typically heavy WBY rifle the stock smacks me in the cheekbone.

I'm not a fan of the actions, I prefer a nice CRF if I can get it. I think the WBY actions with many lugs are somewhat silly. And finally, most WBy cartridges don't do much for me. There are usually easier ways to get form A to B than a WBY cartridge- Like who really need a "double radius shoulder" and a belt put on cartridges that never needed one in the first place, like the completely proprietary WBY cartridges? The belt is just for show.

Aalthough shooting some of the bigger ones like the 460WBy etc are pretty fun, no denying that. :)
