Thanks again for your input fellas.
Been doing a lot of looking at 44's and I thing the redhawk 4.2 is next.
S&W Model 69 and Ruger Redhawk 4.2 are my favorite.
I currently have a S&W 629 5" and love it. I used to have a Ruger SBH 5.5", loved the gun but got sick of it shredding my fingers up with the square trigger guard. I recently shot a friends SBH with the round trigger guard and loved it.... might be buying another one. My advice is to stay away from the square trigger guards
You cant not have to many 44 mag, it is a wonderfull caliber, after 45 ACP it's my favorite, i always have 1000-1500 rounds of factory 44 mag ahead.
And here I was thinking I wasn't going to buy another handgun, then caramel has to go show his off...
That Bad Boy must be as hefty in the hand as the 1858 Remington. I like the lines of it, along with what look like useful sights.
I'm mostly a Ruger Flat top fan
For the recommendations on a Blackhawk I'd advise against one with that square backed Dragoon trigger guard. It looks cool, until it slaps your knuckles. I had a 10" model once and sold it because of that, and I couldn't bring myself to fugly it up with a modern grip that filled in behind the trigger guard.
I didn't know anyone actually shot factory 44 Magnum ammo. $$$
What do you do with your 5.5?I've got both the 4.2 and the 5.5 redhawks and the 5.5 was easier to get a rail and holster for- the 4.2 is a Canadian anomaly you can't do anyting with
