I am having a heck of a time finding load data for 45-90WCF using a 300gr JHP bullet. The gun is a mid year 1906 production Winchester 1886 Express that has the stronger nickel steel barrel. I've got Hodgdon H-335 and H-322 powder to choose from in NOS Bertram brass using Federal match primers.
In playing with this cartridge 60 grains of H-335 looks lost in this massive tube. Looking for suggestions from anybody with experience with this cartridge. Thanks in advance.

I have looked in the past as well and you are correct...there isn't much published data around.
The 45-90 has been discontinued for many year's.
I will send you an pm with a pic of some published data from years ago.

I have a rifle in 45-90 and I often use 45-70 loads and work up by 2-3 grs to get the 45-70 MV and pressure, usually with IMR4198, but I've used H335 as well. In my opinion 60.0 grs is a good place to start with H335 and you could comfortably go to 65.0 grs.

This is from Lyman 49th Edition Reloading Manual, 385 grains is the lightest bullet weight listed, but it may give you a starting point. It also lists loads for 400 gr, 500 gr, and 535 gr. I can send you that data if you'd like.
