.45 ACP and .45 Auto Diffrence

I don't think anyone would be happy trying to use the same .45 acp bullets in the .45 Colt's. Bullets for the ACP are lighter and more importantly don't have a crimp groove as they are tapered crimped in place. The bullets used in the .45 Colt's have a prominent crimp groove as they must be crimped in place or they will move in the revolvers' cylinders because of recoil. You would be better off to use the proper bullets for each chambering. Many .45 Colt's revolvers' fixed sights are set up for the heavier 250 gr. bullets and lighter ones will impact low.
