I was out to the range the other day and a 'usual' first order of business is a quick check for brass that's been left behind. Even though I'm not short of 45 ACP, I couldn't resist picking up about a handful of it that had been left. Taking a look at the head stamp reads '45 AUTO WIN NT'. What's really strange, to me anyway, is it appears to be made to accept small pistol, or possibly small rifle primers VS the usual large pistol primers. How long has this variation been available? Going to SP primers, whereas most manufacturers go with LP, what is the rationale behind that? Last but not least, what does NT signify or designate?
