Gramma worked in Jasper during the war years and they had bears roaming the streets like stray dogs. Here is her co-worker Lillian.

Gramma too close for comfort on the left.

She took pics of Lillians husband making them stand up and beg for treats like a dog as well. Suprisingly they never had one problem while she worked there, it no doubt did no good for anyone later down the line.

Those 4X4's from Home Depot are really dimensionally 3.5" X 3.5". So, what about going to a saw mill and getting a true 4X4? Would that extra make a difference?

Yup, stamp tactical on it triple the price and you have something that will command respect. The young bears, that are easy to dupe with marketing ploys, will be most effected.
