.50 Beowulf 3rd Party Magazines

Reasonable doubt.... Look it up.

I'm starting to think you're just here to troll and fear monger.

Reasonable doubt? 1st thing, as a defence, it's not as simple as I imagine you think it is. (15 yrs as a trial lawyer here, folks.)
2nd thing, what are we talking about? A prosecution for making/distributing/possessing a prohib device? (They probably wouldn't bother with that strategy.) Or simply a scenario where the authorities say, "we regard these as prohib so we're taking them"?
In the latter scenario, "reasonable doubt" is not relevant. As a vendor/manufacturer, you'd still lose your stock, and would have to engage in a protracted and expensive legal battle to get it back. And you'd probably lose.

I don't deal in being positive or negative...not relevant.

Agreed.

This is a direct quote from P**:

"We have been told by the RCMP these mags are within the bounds of the law and do not require any approval by them. Having said that we have requested a letter to that effect...it is expected soon. We will post the letter once we get it."

That was May(?) 2013. So far the RCMP has not complied with this request (no surprise there) but they are, obviously, aware of their manufacture, and ... no raid.

Now that's the best comment I've seen in this thread...seems that we can own/use with confidence. At least for now. Again, I wish those mags fit in the T97. I'd still have them.

Some have mentioned .50 Beo pistol mags. I believe if we had them and held 10rds of .50 Ottawa would have such hell unleashed upon them from the anti's that we would loose hard. We know how many 223 rounds we could get in a 10rd .50 mag and this would force change. We did well 7 years ago with the LAR mags then we did a bit better with the .50 mags a little over a year ago. Now if we push for the .50 pistol mag I believe we will see us lose too much. Maybe even the 10 rd LAR15 mags.

They DO fit & they function perfectly actually. Tight at first, no big deal.

Not mine. One got jammed in so tight that I had to disassemble the gun, pour lubricant inside the magwell and tap it out using a rubber mallet and wooden dowel. I even tried lightly sanding and filing inside the magwell as some recommended...still far too tight.

I have an AA Beo mag and c-products 10 rounders so I'm happy.

Not sure why yours is soo tight..Some sanding etc. on the mag & allot of in/out action :D (would have satisfy her most likely) . I wouldn't mess with the rifle. Much easier to take off a little plastic, as oppose to metal/aluminum. The size is prefect to Cup the mag,(from underneath) for fast mag change, as per the mag release is much easier to hit with your thumb when using them.

I was told something very similar from them. No update so far.

... may be true, I saw them at Lanz, they Had a rivet in the bottom! I never heard of them b4 I saw them there last summer. Selling them for $50 I think.

Articles like that upset me because they fail to mention that the RCMP use it all the time to screw over people as often as possible also. Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22 that Mossberg ar look a like, and the btx mags from ruger

the email warning I got about some of them not being pinned properly and fitting more then 5 beowulf rounds was more then enough for me to get rid of mine.
just not worth it.

I ordered a 6x pack of the .50 beo dummy rounds to satisfy my own curiosity for the AA mags I have. Still wish I could get some actual .50 beo rounds as the argument could be the dummies are not accurately sized.

I've now seen these not so 'unmentionables' for sale through sponsors now on here, the New' Version. So they are ok now? So does this mean the OLD version..{with a rivet in the bottom} is defective or some kind of issue, while the new & improved version is not?
