$50 Dry Tumbler at CT

had one in my hands then said "wait, its from CT, I will be disappointed sooner or later." i'm surprised you're the first to chime in about it not being reliable...

The bowl fits my Lyman so not a total waste...i can't find the receipt doh!
I had other problems with it from the start though, first the wing nut that held the lid on stripped while it was running and the lid popped off making a huge mess. Got a replacement nut and found out if you secure it too loose the friction of the rubber washer and the lid will cause some real heat to generate on the metal rod where I could smell burning plastic in the house and burnt my fingers when I touched the nut..... it's a real micky mouse way the whole bowl attaches with a hollow rod and washer just loose inside which holds the lid up, wing nuts and washers....just a weak design.
The motor finally died, just humms when i turn it on.

Pet stores as crushed walnut shells for lizard bedding or cat litter or any place that sells sand blasting media such as TSC, princess auto, Praxair etc.

Yessir, Petland had the big bag of Desert Blend ground English walnut shells ,about $ 14 bucks. It`s in the lizard section.

I bought a bag of corn cob bedding at the pet store and it plugged up my .223 brass. Big enough to get pushed in through the process but will not just fall out.

I saw a youtube video where the guy used pet store corncob (for bird cage litter) and like yourself ,it plugged up his .223 brass pretty badly ,where he had to use a pick to get it all out.

It seems a bit on the course side versus the kind you buy at the gun stores.

The walnut media from the pet store is just right, although it is a little more aggressive than corncob ,but plenty cheap.

Yup. I'm using a dental pick to get it out. Slow and frustrating.

I bought a bag of walnut media at TSC yesterday. 50lb.for $20.

We'll see how that goes.
