I have finally fired my x frame and it was not nearly as bad as I thought. I got a pm telling me that the recoil was pretty much straight back which was absolutely true. It does have quite a bit more recoil than my 50 ae desert eagle but the compensator is really very effective as has been previously stated. We brought fifty rounds and shot them all. I have to admit though that I find this gun more pleasant to shoot than the eagle since the recoil path of the eagle really brings up the muzzle and twists the gun and it is hard to stay on target.
The muzzle blast is horrific, which I mean as a good thing!!
The other thing that I found most noticible is the power on contact. the metal goats, sheep and chickens were slapped down, not pushed down like they would be with my 44 mag. I was amazed at how much more it brings to the target...
I didn't shoot for accuracy on paper since I was more just seeing what it would do to stuff but my first impressions are that it is really accurate too, it holds muzzle heavy which I guess is obvious to anyone that's ever held one but that usually brings in the groups for me. It didn't miss anything I fired it at. My two friends on the other hand were frightened of it and so when the hammer dropped on a blank you could see the muzzle drop three inches on their flinch. They didn't hit too much....although they knocked the #### out of a snowbank, made a loud noise and still giggled like schoolgirls.
trigger pull with the hammer cocked is perfect, very light, crisp.
Bottom line is I'm really happy with it, now I am going to go and load up my brass and head out for more carnage.
