I'm not a big fan of the 585 and certainly not a fan of Ross Seyfried either...
he's an excellent writer. pretty much no reason to buy rifle or handloader since he left.

As far as I'm concerned his departure was a huge improvement to those fine magazines.... I say Good Riddance !!

There is no way I would shoot that. A while ago I tred to sight in a Ruger No.1 in 45-70 with a NECG rear sight. I was shooting 500 grain bullets loaded quite hot.
Standing, it wasn't too bad. Off the bench though, the first round drove the muzzle high which pinched me between the concrete bench, and the bottom corner of the orange hockey puck Ruger calls a recoil pad. It felt like Brock Lesnar gave me a titty-twister with a pair of vice grips.
I wussed out and went home after just one round.
