6.5 PRC powders of choice

She likes the Sierra 145gr TGK with Magnum.

Awesome results Steve! The 145 TGK is a sweet PRC bullet

I use RL26 under it, 54.4grs does 2950 fps from my 24" Tikka CTR

Another vote for H-1000 sub MOA groups with ES of less than 20 and velocity over 3000 fps with 143 eldx this was with a factory TIkka with a 24" barrel. I suspect you could get 3100 fps with a 26 custom barrel and push the pressure a bit. COAL was mag length.

Second that. 2925 seems to be be the sweat spot with a 22in barrel. I got sub MOA at 3025 fps to but its a bit hot for my taste.

Way to Fast for the 6.5 PRC and BURNs DIRTY DIRTY ! LOL
You appear to be stalking StaBall 6.5 threads.

As I said it cleans copper really well. As for the carbon/soot, cleans up easily at least in my custom barrels. It might be harder to clean up in factory barrels, I wouldn't know.

As for "way to[o] fast" for 6.5PRC, that depends. With lighter bullets, it's definitely a contender with reasonable case fill and velocity.

Not stalking anything I POSTED up on here #3 long before you did ! 😊

All I ever said is it’s a VERY dirty burning powder ! I completely know all about it ! Oh I have a lot of custom barrels with 3 alone for F class rifles .😊

And 6.5 Staball is not at all a “ Preferred “ 6.5 PRC powder - Rl26 - H1000- Retumbo - ARE ! And many more 👍

But I might continue to try it out in my New Custom Barreled 65 CM rifle and see how it’s does for accuracy and speed etc

Thanks for your In Put 😊 I Appreciate it .
