I Agree BUT very little Gain - The 6.5 RPM is not up to what it should be from what i see from Don's Info and others i have read about ! Maybe shed some light on your findings for me ! Thxs RJ
 
I wonder if we'll see a small market for reaming standard long actions out to RPM-based wildcats. Good potential on that case, for sure. I have an M700 SPS in .270 I bought for a project, I wonder what a .277 RPM would be like? 150's at 3050-3150 may be doable.

You’re right that it looks like a easy way to get belted magnum performance without needing to mess with the bolt face. I think the price of brass will limit it. The same thing was possible on short actions with the 284 case for years. But brass supply and cost will stopped this from happening. The days of a company making a kit to convert the 06 cartridgess into rpm wildcats in your garage are long gone.

It would easily be doable. Could you imagine a 110 grain ttsx at 3600 fps! It could be chambered in 5lb 3oz kimber mountain ascent.
