6.5 X 50 Jap Arisaka

Hi there,

Looking for reasonably priced boxer primed 6.5 X 50 Arisaka rounds, or for cases to reload for it. I went to the recent Woodstock Gun Show in Ontario, and the price for a box of old Norma stuff was 50 bucks! a 10 dollar hike in less than 3 months since I bought my last box @ 40.

Anyone know where I can get some more reasonably priced? I know we all had grand pappys who reloaded this calibre.

The only commercial loader is Norma that I've ever heard of. It's just not very common in Canada. It's a pre-war Japanese military cartridge. It's not going to be cheap anywhere. Try Epp's though.

Epps has Norma ammo loaded and Grafs brass. Lee makes the dies. Give them a call.

Thank you. I have 60 reloadable cases now ready to go... now I just need the 6.5 leads in 140 grain and I can reload.

100 virgin brass for $42 US at Buffalo Arms, they ship here no prob. For 6.5's, you can go just about anywhere, but check with Tradeex.

"...they ship here no prob..." Amazes me they're getting away with it. Considering components are restricted for export.
"...need the 6.5 leads..." As in bullets? That shouldn't be too much trouble. Hornady, Speer and Sierra, et al make 'em. Look for .264" bullets. They're common.
Hodgdon doesn't list 6.5 x 50 Jap on their site. I have data if you need it. toheir@hotmail.com
