I have a 6.5x47 Lapua reamer that I'm planning on using for a build and was wondering how to interpret some of the numbers on the reamer itself.
120 FB 1° -30
FIN 295 NK (that's obvious)
So this reamer has 0.120" of free bore? How does the 1° - 30 apply? I will be primarily loading to magazine length in an AI mag and would like to know if my reamer has too much free bore for the bullets to touch the lands when seated to magazine depth. Of course I don't know what bullet I'll end up using in the end but will start with the obvious choices 123, 139 Scenars, 130 Berger VLD, 142 SMK and 140 VLD. The barrel has a 1x8 twist.
Any advice? Thanks.
