So, not sure what to say. You are way beyond the velocity that Hornady 9th publishes as their presumably pressure tested loads, for 140 grain bullets in a 29" barrel. And you are doing that in a 104 year old receiver. What could they possibly know??
Hornady knows that they wil get sued if someone shoots one of their loads in an old Krag or M94 and gets hurt. Also, compare their loads with other book loads and you will see that they are consistently conservative. 257 Weatherby Mag. Is a case in point. The M96 is a much stronger action than the Krag and M94.
