Silverback was gracious enough to loan me his Gevarm Deluxe model 22 rifle.
For those of you not in the know, this is one of the few 22 semi auto rifles to fire from an open bolt position.
Loaded up some 60 grain Aquillas, in the 8 shot magazine, and a target at 25 yards using open sights.
Rifle shot from the bench, and it became obvious that the bullets were pretty much high and right. Tried a compensated sight picture, and got two really obvious keyholes on the target board.
Functioning was better than the Ruger 10/22 were used last week, but still one in every 4 to 5 shots the stubby little empty often was jammed between the bolt and the breech face.
PS, They still smell like mexican burrito farts!
