I’m having a fast twist .243 Win build for the extra 8fps.Some guys shoot 6.5 Rem Mags to make believe they have a 6.5 PRC, some guys shoot 243 pretending they're a 6mm Creed haha
If you were smart enough you’d tell me that Ruger American Predator is still offered as a 6 Creedmoor. Obviously not the case.
The biggest pain in the ass with the 6cm and PRC is Lee does not make a case length trimmer yet, have to do it the old fashioned way on my bench mounted lathe type trimmer, which I hate using for volume shooting.
Well....the Remington will fit in a short action with 2.800 OAL, the PRC claims to be made for short actions but not many will accom the 3.000 OAL. Even my factory PRC came in long action form, which I was glad to see. Some guys shoot 6.5 Rem Mags to make believe they have a 6.5 PRC, some guys shoot 243 pretending they're a 6mm Creed haha
Litz tested the G1 BC of the 90gr Accubond @ .355, the minimum impact speed for expansion as per Nosler is 1800 fps. The Barnes BC is .436 G1 and Barnes claims minimum speed is 1700 fps
The 243 has 4% more case capacity than a 6mm Creedmoor. That is before a bullet is seated. When both are loaded to 2.8" OAL with a 103gr ELDx bullet, the net case capacity of the 243 is 1% more. That will give around 8 fps more velocity when both are loaded to the same pressures/powders

On a long action?
No, short Rem 700. Rebarreling a .22-250 LVSF.
