I now have 2 of them. The first build is a savage dasher ,Savage 12 action, accu trigger- 1-8 twist 29' krieger that loves 108g bergers.
The second build is a Rem dasher, Rem short action , jewel ,1-8 twist 30' lilja , custom br stock that loves 105 jlk's.
Both are fun to shoot . I've shot bug holes with both while fire forming the brass. very easy to load tune.
Looks like Jerry has one. My gun smith had every thing on the shelf to build the rem. Go with the no turn neck chamber for lapua brassthanks. Who would you recommend for a good supplier for light weight high end Rem 700 actions?
So, are these really much of a varmiting caliber, or are they really best suited for bench rest?[/QUOTE
The caliber and ballistics are great for varmiting , but the case design is BR so it`s front heavy and won`t feed well from a mag.
