What Lakkenbak said. You can buy ADG 7-6.5PRCW brass but it will also be tariffed, Lapua won't. Just neck it up and send it. Unless you can find some pre-tariff price ADG brass. I know GoBig Tactical had some if memory serves me right, and i'm sure Gary at Big Horn Sales would have some too but not sure if it would be pre-tariff price or not. I don't think anyone will ever offer a factory rifle/ammo for a 7-6.5 PRCW. Not with the 7BC here, and how many other factory 7mm options. Which is a shame, I think the 7-6.5 PRCW is even better than the 7 PRC itself. How do tariffs impact 7bc but not 7-6.5prc?
And as far as I'm aware you can't even buy factory ammo or rifles in 7-6.5prc? Wouldn't that make it the more expensive option for most people?
Okay. But brass is only one factor. And one of the cheapest factors at that. What about the cost of a barrel, a reamer, a donor action and a Smith to put it all together? What Lakkenbak said. WeatherbyFan had a 7-6.5PRCW built, he posted some numbers from it here awhile ago, it was pretty impressive!
I guess that depends what kind of factory rifle you’re wanting for the BC. The cheapest I’ve come across so far was a weatherby 307 for $1700. Which isn’t terrible if you don’t want to spend couple thousand.Okay. But brass is only one factor. And one of the cheapest factors at that. Seems to me the only way 7-6.5prc is the cheaper option is if you a) already reload, and b) can do the Smith work yourself?
I very MUCH doubt you will EVER see a " TIKKA " produced in that 7 BC cartridgeSavage makes a 110 lite in 7bc that's $669 usd msrp. Haven't seen one in Canada yet, but they'll get here.
If 7bc takes off they'll be available in plenty of more affordable options. Won't be long before you can get a Ruger American, " Tikka" or even a Savage Axis if it doesn't die off in short order.
Why? Because the 7 BC just won't be successful enough? Or is there another reason?I very MUCH doubt you will EVER see a " TIKKA " produced in that 7 BC cartridgejmo RJ
Yes ! I don’t believe the demand will be Great enough to chamber it up .Why? Because the 7 BC just won't be successful enough? Or is there another reason?
It already exists called 7PRCWShould be a factory offering ! Just a bit bigger to shoot heavier bullets then the Good 6.5 PRC- Very similar to the GREAT 7 mm RSAUM cartridge - JMO

I kinda agree with Jim on this one but not cause it wont be successful enough, its the fact that Tikka only chambers rifles that are CIP certified (European version of SAAMI) and it takes way longer to do that. Why? Because the 7 BC just won't be successful enough? Or is there another reason?
."
So if it doesn't meet CIP requirements, Tikka being a European manufacturer, wont produce them. They aren't even making the 7 PRC yet, unsure if its in testing or what the hold up is. Maybe they think it will be a flop, who knows.
Yup, they don’t make anything cool so I guess I’ll never own one of their hunting rifles.Tikka has not yet chambered the 280 AIwth ?
