Is there a place where I could find some swiss military ammo?
If not, is there a possibility of buying new brass somewhere?
I've heard RCBS makes a set of forming dies to convert .284 Winchester brass into usable brass.

In regards to 7.5x55mm, The Shooting Edge has some Swiss ball for sale, TEC has the brass for reloading,you can form 7.5 out of .284 Winchester and you can reload 7.5 Swiss from the origional Swiss military ammo if you get yourself a supply of berdan primers from North Silva in Toronto if they still handle them. The last place to get ammo is to join a Swiss shooting club and they can steer you in the right direction.

Tradex sells the Grafs 7.5x55 boxer brass. Personally, I think Winchester .284 is better brass, and cheaper as well. All it requires is a full length size and it's good to load, don't usually even have to trim it.
 
I got 7.5x55 Privi (nny) brass from Trade Ex and am very disappointed with it. Even soft loads cause the primer pockets to open up big time. I am lucky to get 2 or 3 loads out of them and end up scrapping 20% after one load as the primers just drop in and out.

The folks out here who shoot the K31, and they are a great carbine and lots of fun, use resized .284 win brass.

Epps lists .284 on their site and rumor has it that P&D or Milarm, I forget which, is also said to carry it. I would suggest using castor oil (huile de ricin) available in any pharmacy as a lubricant on the brass. It works better than Imperial wax.

The iron sites are good even for old eyes and the Ste Marie no-gunsmith mount lets you use them even with a scope in place.

I've had no problems with primer pockets even after several reloads. I did have 1 virgin case split right down the center it's full length on it's first firing. Not impressed.

I bought over 2000 berdan primers from Silva, and I reload the GP11 cases now. Much better reloads, and if I loose a case or two, who cares, plenty more were they came from.

aside from shooting the gp11 at the swiss club i have been shooting the tradex privi stuff from tradex and have 250 brass still on the first 50 and about the 5th reload
 
I've used 284 Win and the Prvi 7.5x55 from Tradex. I agree that the 284 is good (probably better than the Prvi), but it is a wee bit undersized at the casehead and can be real difficult to find. I'm on my fifth loading of the Prvi and no losses. If you're getting primers falling out I'd check your loads - seems odd that there are no other reports of loose primer pockets.

I must be a little thick:bangHead: Our dealers are selling K31 rifles and overpriced Swiss Ball. The Serbs are making nice, reasonably priced ammo but no one seems to sell it. They make an excellent variety of milsurp ammo. I have seen PRVI PARTIZAN products from time to time. Maybe it's just not profitable or Norma is just a much better buy:kickInTheNuts:

I'm not Swiss and don't belong to a Swiss Rifle Club. However, IIRC, there are about 4 clubs in Ontario, they are associated with the Ontario Rifle Association (ORA). As far as I know, you are not allowed to shoot reloaded ammo at their matches but must buy the military ammo that they make available.
