7.62mm DCRA LE No4 conversion thread

Having just joined the site recently, it's taken me awhile to get through the 85 pages to this point.
I have #1810, a 1943 Long Branch No.4 MkI in 7.62. My father gave it to me before he passed away a few years ago and I didn't know much of the history before reading this thread. It's been a great source of information.

# 357 converted to one piece stock in the 1980’s. It wore an envoy barrel as well during this time period.Currently in active 22 Fclass competition with a no7bolthead, benchmark match barrel and aluminum tube stock. Guess what I did! A few years ago I had the opertunity to buy a very slightly used #4 DCRA action. I had a #4 7.62 barrel, in the white, unfired. With it I put an unfired, all new parts (except the action) rifle together. I am fighting the urge to shoot it! I will check it's serial and post it here.
