7.62x39 Bolt action options

For the price difference, the CZ seems like the obvious choice over the Zastava. I've had both, and greatly preferred the CZ.

I now have a Savage Scout in this chambering and like it just fine...but the ultimate, IMHO, would be the CZ converted to a flush magazine and with a scout mount. The projecting box magazine was always a sort spot for me.

In terms of value, it's tough to beat the Norinco, the one that they called the "Bush Ranger" back when they first came out. The one I had years ago was decently accurate and completely trouble-free...as long as you don't mind owning a gun that looks like it was whittled from an old tire-iron and a piece of scrap lumber...:)
 
I have the Norinco bush ranger and am very happy with it. Clocked my white tail with it this year and it fell instantly. Just picked up the baikal single shot and am excited to see what it can do as well. :)
