Morning gents..

Where are the deals on 7.62x39? Cabelas had a nice deal on some eastern block corrosive... i think it was $350/1500 rounds. anywhere else have a 'good' price?

You missed out... Cabela's was $259/1500 from Boxing Day until last week.

I loaded up, so I'm not sure where the prices are elsewhere now.

Wolverine, $225. Plus shipping, works out to $280 even shipped to the east coast so your shipping should be quite low!
Edit, just looked, still in stock1440 for $225. If I lived in Calgary I would be ordering 10 crates, also the more you order, the shipping gets a bit cheaper per crate!

Subtotal $225.00
Shipping $42.00
TDG Fee $25.00
TAX $14.60
Total $306.60
Wow the shipping can't be right, they only were charging me around $55 for mine! Tag is some sort of Dangerous goods tax they put on, only place that does so far! I would contact wolverine as the shipping seems very high.
Still probably cheaper than Cabelas or most places after you include everything!

Since Jan 1 I've cancelled two ammo orders because the TDG $25 fee was added. One from Cabelas and one from Marstar. Neither had charged me that before. Maybe it is new? Haven't tried anyone else.

Not surprised about TDG fees. Since Canada Post is not allowed to ship explosives (and ammo falls under that category) ammo must go by courier or truck. Most couriers and carriers charge extra to haul Dangerous Goods because the truck has to be placarded and the driver has to have Transport of Dangerous Goods training.

It sucks, but what can you do aside from pick it up yourself?

I don't see anything on Purolator site about dangerous goods fees as an extra. Seems like a cash grab to me. Canpar does not charge that either just ships by ground as not allowed in the air.

Wolverine must have restocked, its probably the best deal at the moment for surplus x39

It's been a great deal for a while, but with people advocating rushing to buy 10 crates, that kind of unnecessary inflated hype will eventually rapidly suffocate the availability.
