One of the managers at a local range. It was brought up as any type of steel is prohibited on this particular range. The reason given is that it is prohibited by the CFO on all ranges in AB.

I don't know if it's true or not. But either why I can't use steel core on my range. So I am still in the market for reasonably priced non steel core ammo.

That sounds like the Drumheller Range which has a ban on Steel Core Ammo and no shotguns.
