7.62x39

I purchased a crate every other paycheque for a year.
I have 12,000 rounds in my lock up.
Bring it!

Weak..

Im well stocked up on x39 for now. Planning on picking up 50 more cases in the next few months. Goal is to always have 100k rounds on hand.

Part of my x39 stash:

Another dozen or so loose cases here and there around the house.

I might be wrong but didnt some country just build a factory to mass produce 7.62x39?

5000-8000 Bucks for 50000 Rds is just stupid! :HR:

Not buying ammo when it's readily available and dirt cheap is stupid. Very stupid.
I was stupid many years ago, not gonna happen again.

Dont make me post pics of my gun and reloading rooms :)

Wow,drool! Does anyone know if there is an ammo amount # that the RCMP will have issue with, or if it's properly stored non-issue?

You allowed to store a "reasonable amount of ammo" at your place. I suspect that my definition of "reasonable" might differ from someone else's

You won't think so when the zombies come. You do have to make sure your position is tenable long term though, as moving that much ammo is a ##### even when you employ your friends (unless you achieve battalion strength with vehicles & logistics support).

True, ammo will always appreciate in value. You can't loose. WORST case scenario you will sell it for what you paid.

For maximum storage limit I thought the law states you are only allowed 40,000rd of centerfire cartridges? I want to be wrong so please correct me if that is not true.

I sold my SKS several months ago, but I plan on getting a new CZ 858, and I would like to get 1 crate of ammo every month, if my wallet and wife let me. I would like to keep about a 5-6 crates in storage, then just re supply what I shoot after that. If I had 5000 rounds in storage, and the surplus dried up, I could really make it last.

You can get 1000 rounds of non corrosive ammo now for around $500 I think anyways, so even at that price, its still around the same as .223. Atleast with 7.62x39 you are getting more bullet for the money, and you can Deer hunt with it also if you get some Soft Point ammunition.

If I had to pay that much for 7.62x39 I'd just shoot my AR.

Even if there was a limit on how much ammo you are permited to store....Who the heck keeps track of that? Its impossible to know how much ammo a person shoots, and has left.

I really doubt that the RCMP cares that much about some guy with 100,000 rounds of ammo in storage for a rainy day.

However there is a good chance that the KGB has zz-denis and Norsemanon's houses on survailance and if Russia ever decides to Invade our Country to take our Natural Resources, the Russian's might just drop a bomb on your houses because they are "strategic targets"....................Lol.
