Looking at sine commercial rifles online built in MAS with a trigger safety and strange scope mount. Fournier is the name of the manufacturer, is this the type you used?
Fournier is the gunsmith/factory that provided for the civilian market mas transformed and rebarelled with the bizarre safety and the strange scope mount. mostly in 7-08 for mountain hunting. ours had no name on the barrel and no scope mount. never been able to get the whole story but certainly came from another gunsmith near paris. they were used a lot in french indochine as well for gaur with no so good results ...
cant tell about safety as well never trusted one completely and never drilled in the army to use one ...
Okay, I give up. What is CAR? I'm guessing R is rifle, and will probably be embarrassed that I wasn't able to figure out the CA part.
