7615P part II

Okie dokie here are some pics of the project. Not quite finished as I am waiting for new optics, flash hider, lower tapered front rail w/vertical grip. Best of all it can be as "black" as you want (non-restricted) yet easily can convert back to hunting configuration in about 1/2 hour or so.

The standard 7600P served me well at the range and during hunting season and I can hardly wait to get this one out.

Turf... That is one COOL looking rifle!!! Gotta love playing the game with the anti's, ha ha ha, that rifle probably means lost sleep for them... ha ha ha...

Cheers
Jay

Turf if you don't mind shareing...

Where are you getting the higher capacity mag's? I've been thinking about selling my 7400 and going the same basic route as you are due to reliability problems with the rifle and mag capacity.

I know where to find 10 round mags but haven't found a source for the others yet.

Unfortunately, the high cap supplier I was dealing with screwed me on an order because he was going belly up. I am checking out another source for them in steel and plastic now. Also I am going to the shot show in Vegas Feb. and the big show in Reno in March. Will have more definitive answers by then I hope. If I hear of anything sooner I'll let you know

The AR15-870CQB Stock Adapter will fit this gun and the 7400. I would have chimed in earlier, but I wanted to test fit it on my 7400 to make sure and it fits like a glove.

My 7400 Carbine with it's baby brother 870 Express!!

The mag extension extends beyond the barrel on your shotgun, is that a Dlask model or a Wilson?
Sorry for the hijack.
Very nice setup in deed they are a nice pair!

That's my 7600P above and wouldn't you know I just had to have a 7400 in .243 Am thinking I'll let her stay the way she is for now. Got the goodies but just don't have the gumption to trick 'er out.

Turf,

What is it like working the action with the vertical forend attached? Does it bend slightly when you work it or does it stay firm?

That's a great looking rifle Turf.

My 7615P, speedfeed IVs stock, knockoff Knight's armament front grip and Eotech 552. This stock configuration really transforms the ergonomics of this rifle.

What did you end up doing for a flash hider?

Since my last post I switched the butt stock for a Tapco T6. I was going to put on a SE Vortex but decided against it.

As the rifle is 308 and one of my bush guns I didn't feel the need to trick it any further. My original thought was to show how an ordinary rifle can be tricked.

If I was to put a flash hider on it I'd say a Vortex because it isn't a timed setup. With the Phantoms you need some crush washers and a lot of patience. Hope this helps..............T

You have pet ducks you've named after firearms???

Anyway, I wonder how it would look with a Sage stock...

:) :D :D
I was wondering the same thing...

Did someone say 870 stocks fit up to the 7615? I have a stock unfired 7615, wondering about dressing it up a tad...

this might be a n00b question, but this gun is going to be a little xmas gift to myself, how do you get a flash hider on a gun like this???

Not a noob question at all. The direct connect vortex is 1/2 by 28 tpi as are most flash hiders like the Phantom. Unless you are set up to do it yourself a good gunsmith or machinist can turn the threads for you. I've had guys do it for me gratis but the normal charge is about $50-75.

One thing to keep in mind. Flash hiders do not reduce muzzle flip. Compensators on the other hand reduce muzzle flip and felt recoil although, they are a helluva louder than flash hiders.;)

Good luck with your project and be sure to give us some pics:)

the 7615 is based on the 20ga 870. factory stocks don't swap. the adapter for a AR stock does work though. the 7615 reciever is narrower.
