762/39 steelcase explosion

Ive had my mags blow the baseplate off and the spring goes flying. a couple times now with 762/39 corrosive steelcase fr china. Today while testing function i had my handguard removed( as i tightened it to much and the aluminum broke where the far end of the screws tighten).After shooting many rnds i had my hand wrapped arounf the magwell,pulled trigger, boom, baseplate ,spring and round blew out on the ground,my hand still feels the pressure. The steel case was stuck in the chamber but was removed withe tap fr a cleaning rod.The case has a hole in it at the bottom side above the primer.It seems the case failed and blew the pressure in towards the blot and down the magwell.ANYONE else experienced this ??Gunner
 
Could be head spaced issue!? If its a continuous thing, stop using the firearm.

I have shot many crates of surplus mostly from czech and china and romanian, other than the odd duds here and there, i have no major issues
 
LOL did you not think to stop shooting after your gun had its first breech explosion???

STOP SHOOTING THAT GUN! see a gunsmith ASAP.

What he said. I've been shooting 7.62x39 from many sources through AR's, XCR's, Vz's, and AK's and have never had a problem like that. If you've had it 'a couple of times' I'd guess your gun has an issue. Or two.

Alternately, I'd advise doubling up on the eye protection and body armor if you plan to keep shooting it as-is. Maybe a welding mask.
 
NEA baby! Reading your threads I'd cut my losses and forget about that upper, most people that bought those have issues. And your issue is a serious one, not just a ftf or fte

Case rupture would make me think something wrong or out of spec with the chamber support?

Like if say an amateur gunsmith like the OP removed the barrel and "polished" the feedramps. Now his cartridges are failing at pretty much that point.

The first rupture happened before the feed ramps were fixed and polished, so i know it wasnt that. After close inspection of the feed ramps they were leaving a long score on the bullet.After wards the ammo fed and extracted fine especially with the replacement ejector spring. I have had a bad experience with the NEA bolt as the first one which i got with the BCG that came with the upper wasnt sized properly and the firing pin wouldnt work freely, notified NEA and they sent a replacement. Head space may be the issue as the other suggested.

[rant] You clearly have NO FRICKEN IDEA what an out of battery explosion is.

Why is it there are always people who think every firearm failure is an OOB? When the truth is OOB are exceptionally rare events. A true OOB is nearly impossible because all modern firearms are specifically designed not to set off the round prior to the bolt locking up.

A true OOB event results in all the recoil forces being imparted into an unlocked bolt. As firearms are not designed for that kind of thing the end result usually involves the shooter picking the bolt out of his forehead.

The OP specifically noted a hole in the case head. Maybe try a bit of reading and comprehension prior to posting next? [/rant]

Chamber support? WTF is a chamber support?

I have found it is always best to have a clue when talking smack about a manufacturer.

"Most people?" I highly doubt it. But hey, you've been around CGN long enough to have a few hundred posts so you clearly know all about NEA history and the specific models and issues suffered therein. Please enlighten us as to your extensive experience with NEA products and their failure rate.
