It seems to work, and was my only option to shoot the bullets I wanted.Thats pretty good, my rifle is the micro series, so only 3 in the mag box. It might cut my capacity down to 2. I'll look into it a little more. I been using sierra game king 140 and 150 gr bullets lately, they have the right shape for the short mag box being a little shorter in length. The 150's shoot very well in my rifle. Thanks for the response, cheers Pete.
COL on my Winchester/Nosler Combined Technology XP3 160 grain 7mm bullets were 2.870". ( bullets pulled from factory 7 WSM ammo)
COL on my Hornady ELD-X 162 grain bullets are 2.90".
COL on my Nosler 140 grain Accubond are 2.850".
Factory Winchester 150 grain PSP are 2.80", obviously you already know that.
Oddly enough, at 100 yards, all three of my above handloads shoot close to the same point of impact. Shot separately the loads will group under 1/2" if I do my part. Shot together at the same bullseye, they will group within an inch of each other.
