7mm mag or .300 WM??
Sectional density of these two ends up close and, by the way, both are well within the ideal range if you use the appropriate bullet and put it in the kill zone. For me, I would prefer to own one of each, what the heck.
I've shot moose here in Quebec with .308 and .30-06 boom=dead.
So a 7mm mag loaded with 175 gr would just be too much fun, it's good to try new things and all. A .300 WM can shoot 180 gr effectively about 75-100 yds further than the same in my .30-06 but when do I have those kinds of long shots here in the East?
I would carefully read all the collective wisdom, pass gass and base my decision on which one I liked better. Both are fine and whichever one YOU like best is best.
